On June 9, 2026, an online lecture was held within the framework of the implementation of the international project «The BRIDGE – Bridging the gap between university and industry: Master Curricular Supporting the Development of Green Jobs and Digital Skills in the Ukrainian Building Sector» (Project №101127884, ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE-STRAND-2).
The lecture titled «BIM for data driven sustainable construction» was delivered by Oleksandra Furman - BIM, Digital Transformation, and Sustainability Lead at Orbia, Norway.
During the lecture, the following key issues were addressed:
  • BIM as a data management tool: the role of digital models in making effective design decisions.
  • Integration of BIM and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for analyzing environmental performance of buildings.
  • Circular design: the role of BIM in resource reuse and implementing Reduce-Reuse-Recycle principles.
  • Project case studies from Orbia.
We thank Oleksandra for sharing practical experience and valuable insights into the digital development of the construction industry!
