The history of the department began in 1976 after the division of one of the oldest department "Technology, organization and mechanization of construction" into the department of construction engineering and the department of construction organization. In 1997, after several reorganizations, the department got its modern name - «Organization of construction and labor protection». Since 2003 the department has been headed by Ph.D., associate professor Bespalova Alla.

 

Currently, 15 highly qualified teachers are working in the department many of whom have extensive practical experience in the construction of various industrial and civilian objects.
 
The percentage of the department teachers who has academic degree or title is 80%. Teachers of the department actively cooperate with leading construction and design organizations, state structures, providing consulting services on organizational - technological design and construction. The gained practical experience is used in teaching activity.

 

The department is graduating in the specialization "Industrial and Civil Engineering". There are master's and postgraduate programs at the department. The department has two training laboratories: professional safety and civil protection, where students have the opportunity to work on modern equipment, training simulators, stands and try on personal protective equipment.
 
The department provides teaching of more than 20 course units, among them: organization of construction, organization and construction management, health and safety, professional safety, professional safety in construction, civil protection, modern software of management of construction processes, innovations in construction and others.
